Teachers as The Agent of Change

The teachers as the agent of change have the most important roles in education to encounter the change or the development of the information and technology world. Education change depends on what teachers do and think- it's as simple and as complex as that. It would all be so easy if we could legislate the changes in thinking (Sarason, 1971). Therefore, there are some items should be noticed by the teachers as the agent of change, namely:

1. The Teachers Should Perceive the Progress of The world 

The progress of the world particularly in the realm of the information and technology world taking place now days for education, is can not be avoided; however, it should be encountered as the positive challenges. The Existence of information and technology in the filed of education is not strange for students anymore, but it becomes familiar. Almost of every student at school have already had a computer, they are not difficult to operate or use the computer in learning. 

Although the students have already perceive or know how to operate the computer, but the teachers should know or understand more students than their students.  Since, the  information and technology world always undergo the development and changes like the changes of other world. Therefore, the teachers have to follow the development of the world particularly dealing with the education.

2. The Teachers should be able to Perceive the Needs of the world.

Understanding the needs of the world in the field of the education suitable with the progress of era is a must for the teachers. Since, the teacher not only have to deliver materials or subject to their students in the classroom,but also understand the necessity of the needs of the market or the world in order the students finished their study or graduated from school or university will be jobless. 

The job seekers or the jobless always add or increase every year. They are very difficult to find the job, even most of the companies write 'job opportunities'. 

The difficulties in getting the job that the they encounter are may be caused by some factors, and one of the factors is the disability of the teachers/lecturers understand the need of the market or world. Thus, to avoid the increase of jobless in the next years, we are as the teachers should perceive the needs of the market or the world.

3. The Teachers should be able to prepare their students for Better life In the Future

There are some iterms that should be conducted by the teachers to prepare their students for better life in the future, namely:
a. The teacher must teach their students not only school lesson but also the skill for their future.
b. The teacher must understand the needs of the market or the world.
c. The teachers must be able to teach the new technology to their students.
d. The teacher should be motivator and inspirator for their students

4. The Teachers should  be able to understand the effects of the Progress of the World

The progress of the information and technology world not only have positive effects for the students but also negative effects. The negative effects usually are easier to be accepted by the students than the positive effects. Therefore, the teachers should  be able to explain about the utilization of  technology well in order they do not abuse the technology.
