The Students' Mindset to Their students
The success or the failure of the students in learning is not only because of their intelligence but also the teachers' mindset. There are two mindsets of the teachers that is fixed and growth mindsets that can effect the students' success or failure.
1. The Fixed Mindset
The teachers' fixed mindset is the teachers who always blame and never appriciate their students' ability particularly to the students who have low intelligence. They are often angry and eve never smile. They never give the chance to their students to improve their mistake, and they are not willing to hear what their stupid students say. Dweck stated that Teacher
with a fixed mindset tended to label students based on their assumptions about
how smart they think they are; they expect and foster succes for some students
and hold lower expectations and offer lesser and mediocre task for others.
2. The Growth Mindset The teachers who have growth mindset always apriciate the students' critical thinking or ability. They never say with unpolite words, like" stupid, etc". However, they always give a praise, motivation, and inspiration although their students' get bad mark. Dweck stated that the teacher
with a growth mindset invest time and effort in their students and give
students opportunities to try, redo, and choose alternate approaches until
they are successful.
Thus, we can conclude that the students' success not only depend on their intelligence, but also the teachers' growth mindsets.
The type of teacher’s thinking has a direct impact on the learning outcomes of each student. An objective assessment of the teacher is the most correct
