The Strategies  of Cultivating Focus and Emotion to the Students The Students entering into the classroom have diverse background, condition or situation, and potency. Majority of them have difficulties in focus and emotion, and it is not easy to tell them to cncentrate or focus in learning. They enter into the classroom with empty brain, and they do not have any purposes to go to school. Therefore, the alternative ways or strategies are very urgent. There are ten strategies that can be used to cultivate focus and emotion to our students in learning. BE :  is, am, are
Notice the position and pattern of to be is, am, are in the posistive and negative sentences.

1. Pathern

    Subjects : She/he/it + is
                     She is a beautiful girl
                     He is a handsome boy
                     it is a cat
     Subjects : They/we/you + are
                      They are clever students
                       We are very happy today
                       Yo are a smart boy that I know
      Subject : I + am
                        I am a clever student
                        I am very happy to day

     She and I are diligent students in this school. ( The use of "are, not am" because the subjects are 
     more than one)

2. Negative and interrogative sentences

     a. Negative 

   ( Negative ) Subjects : She/he/it + is + not
                                        They/we/you + are + not
                                         I + am + not
    Notes : The position of "not" is placed after to be " is, am, and are". 
                 ( + ) He is a kind student
                 ( - ) He is not a kind student
                 ( + ) You are a careful student
                 ( - )  You are not a careful students
                 ( + ) They are diligent students
                 ( - ) They are not a diligent students

    b. Interrogative

     To be is, am, are + Subjects ( to be is placed in front of subject).
                 ( + ) He is a good boy
                 ( - )  He is not a good boy
                 ( ? ) Is he a good boy? yes, he is.  No, he isn't
                 ( + ) They are good international football players
                 ( - ) Thye are not good international football players
                 ( ? ) Are they good international football players? yes, they are. No they aren't

2. Be in Singular and Plural Nouns

    Singular                                       Plural

1. The book is new                  The books are new
2. The pen is cheap                  The pens are cheap
3. The car is expensive             The cars are expensive
