An activator in the process of teaching and learning used to grow the students' interest, motivation or spirit is the most urgent because it has a role to motivate the students to learn. Become an activator, there are ways that should be noticed in advance, namely the definition of activator, and 5 ways how to be an activator.

A. The Definition of Activator

An activator is a teaching strategy or tool that is used to engage students and activate prior knowledge before a new lesson or concept is introduced. Activators are designed to help students connect new information to what they already know and build interest and curiosity in the topic at hand. Activators can take many forms, such as a question, a graphic organizer, a discussion, or a hands-on activity. These strategies are often used as a pre-lesson activity to help students prepare their minds for new learning. They can also be used throughout the lesson to check for understanding and provide opportunities for students to apply their knowledge

It's important to be aware of the student's prior knowledge, interests, and learning style to be able to choose the best activator for them. Also, it's important to provide a variety of activators and to use them in different ways to keep students engaged and interested
