 Explaining or teaching a sexual Education is not easy, and there are a lot of challenges faced and negative thinking. In addition, as parents, they also are very afraid of the effects of sexual education toward their children. Since, they view that their sons or daughters will misunderstand  about sexual education. Therefore, They should know in advance about the concept of comprehensive sextual education itself,  key points of comprehensive sexual education, and the concept of religion particularly the concept of Islam toward sexual education.

1. Concepts of Comprehensive Sexual Education

Comprehensive sexual education is an approach to providing individuals with information, knowledge, and skills about various aspects of human sexuality. The goal of comprehensive sexual education is to help individuals develop a balanced, positive, and realistic understanding of sexuality, interpersonal relationships, gender identity, and related issues.

Comprehensive sexual education is not just about the biological and anatomical aspects of sexuality, but also encompasses things like values, norms, emotions, feelings, decisions, rights, responsibilities, and communication related to sexuality.

a. Medical and Biological Information: Providing accurate information about reproductive anatomy, sexual development, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, and protection against related risks.

b. Interpersonal Relationships: Teaching skills in communication, building healthy relationships, recognizing signs of unhealthy or harmful relationships, and understanding perspectives on consent in relationships.

c. Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation: Encouraging an understanding of the diversity of gender identities and sexual orientations, and teaching appreciation and respect for individuals with diverse identities.

d. Wise Decision-Making: Assisting individuals in developing skills to make wise decisions related to sexuality, including sexual relationships, contraception use, and protection from risks.

e. Values and Norms Development: Helping individuals understand values, norms, and personal beliefs related to sexuality, while respecting diverse viewpoints.

f. Disease and Unintended Pregnancy Prevention: Providing information on how to prevent sexually transmitted diseases and unintended pregnancies in effective and responsible ways.

g. Self-Respect and Respect for Others: Encouraging the development of self-esteem and self-respect, as well as respect for the rights and boundaries of others in a sexual context.

h. Sexual Violence Prevention: Providing an understanding of types of sexual violence, their signs, and ways to resist and prevent them.

Comprehensive sexual education aims to help individuals make informed and responsible decisions and develop a positive attitude towards their own bodies and sexuality, while respecting the rights and feelings of others. Comprehensive sexual education programs are typically designed for various age groups, ranging from children to adults.

3. According to the Teaching of Islam, Comprehensive sexual education

According to the teachings of Islam, comprehensive sexual education is approached with sensitivity and a focus on maintaining modesty, moral values, and ethical considerations. Islam places a strong emphasis on seeking knowledge and understanding, including matters related to human sexuality, within the boundaries of Islamic teachings and principles.

Here are some key points according to the teachings of Islam about comprehensive sexual education:

a. Privacy and Modesty: Islamic teachings emphasize the importance of modesty and privacy in discussions about sensitive topics, including sexuality. This means that discussions about sexual education should be conducted in a respectful and private sett 

b. Marital Responsibilities: Islam recognizes the importance of sexual education within the context of marriage. It emphasizes the mutual rights and responsibilities of spouses, promoting a healthy and respectful sexual relationship.

c. Respect for Moral Values: Comprehensive sexual education within Islam encourages individuals to adhere to moral and ethical values. This includes avoiding any form of inappropriate or unethical behavior.
